Juanes Dominates Latin Grammys, Performs With John Legend

The Latin Grammy Awards went down last night in Houston, with Colombian rocker Juanes dominating the event. Juanes won all three of the ceremony’s biggest awards and five trophies all together, locking up Record of the Year and Album of the Year for La Vida…Es Un Ratico (translation: “Life is a moment”), plus Song of the Year for “Me Enamora.” John Legend joined the singer on stage to perform Legend’s “If You Are Out There.” Café Tacuba took home the Best Alternative Song and Best Rock Song prizes with “Esta Vez” and “Volver a Comenzar” respectively. Gloria Estefan also won a pair of awards, bringing home the Best Traditional Tropical Album for 90 Millas and the Latin Grammy’s Artist of 2008, marking the first time a female won the award.
